May Days

Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing well, I’m guessing this will be a pretty short update. As mentioned in the previous blog nothing much is really happening and pretty quiet and nothing worth bloging about. I’ve been keeping myself busy with a lot of reading, making stupid videos, some gaming, tv and computer stuff, the “garden” is coming along rightly with lettuce, runner beans and spuds all making good progress and the general plants too, it’s nice sitting on the step reading and being able to smell them and bees buzzing to and fro.

I’ve been trying to do at least 30 mins on the bike each day, but I really miss the walking, considering I would've easily done 6 or 7 hours each week of dedicated walking not including general walking around. So because of this, I decided to order a treadmill, not for running as my knees aren’t capable of that and would cause more problems than good, but just to walk and walk and walk... And walk. I’m looking forward to it and will be a change from cycling, it will make things a bit easier for when I’m able to get out again, if I’m able to get out again.

It also gave me the idea to look back over some videos that I made on the 360 camera and found a nice one walking around Bangor Marina from back in July 2019, it was a lovely Saturday evening, Sun out and barely a breeze. The general atmosphere was nice and it was a lovely one to stick the VR goggles on and relive it. Will have to try and find more but even just the pictures are nice to stick on and look around. Not quite the same as being there, back when the 3m selfie stick was used for it's purpose rather than a social distancer device.

I’ve also been scratching up on my BSL (British Sign Language) I did Level 1 seven or eight years ago, but I’ve barely used it and have forgotten loads so this is more of a scratch up and will refresh rather than anything new, I’m sure with the way my hearing is going I’ll need it eventually but hopefully not for a while yet.

I have a nice routine I go by each day, I get up about 8ish get washed, go do any dishes, breakfast(fruit and cheese) and then on the exercise bike for 30 mins and then normally some reading and tablets about 12, then from that point it just depends on what mood I'm in with lunch about 1ish or so. After this point the day just disappears, like literally *clicks fingers* gone, some times I have absolutely no idea where the day has gone and nothing to show for it, other days I’ve made a nice Google Earth Video or a silly video or something. And from about 6ish I’m drowsy and struggle to keep my eyes open but by that stage I feel it’s too late for a nap, I should really go for a siesta about 1ish when the sun’s in the yard and too warm to sit out there.

I need a good project that I can really get stuck into, but I can’t think of anything that I would be able to make good use of. I have the GPS tracker that I got back in Jan that I was going to start to use to track walks and use the 360 camera to get images along the way and add them to my site in the walks section and also you’d be able to download the routes to a device to guide you with the pictures as guides. Obviously I can’t do that atm but hopefully in a while I’ll be able to and the places I go there’s normally not many around so will be able to do the social distancing stuff easily. But for now, I need to find other things to keep me out of trouble, or at least try to.

This has somehow turned out longer than I thought it could be. Anyway, hope you are all good and staying safe and keeping well. Until next time when I have nothing to update with haha.
