September 2014
Randalstown Forrest Park
So September, what happened in September... a few things actually, I've quite enjoyed September. Health wise it's nothing very spectacular, I seem to have reached a plateaux and don't seem to be getting any better, I think there is still room for improvements but I am quite pleased with the progress that I have made up to this point. Tiredness isn't much of an issue anymore, but being sore the next day, or a few days after doing anything is the main problem, recovery time, it's not what it used to be. But then again I'm not loaded up on drugs that help with my knees and legs, so it may be that that is no longer being masked.
Sunset
I am also a bit more prone to getting what I can only hope is a chill every few days, where I would get a head aches and aches and pains, although it always seems to kick in on Thursdays and Sundays but settles the next day most of the time. Tinnitus got a lot worse for a week and some clicking started but that has settled again and the numbness is still as bad as ever really, but my shaky hands seems to have settled a bit or I've just not noticed it as much. So things seem to be going fairly well, I don't feel like I would be able to get back to work yet, things are still very hit and miss each morning when I get up and the fact that I haven't even had my scan yet! But then I am having it tomorrow (30th).
Slight Aurora at Dunluce
But onto the important things!! What have I done!? Well the first weekend was a good friend's birthday so got really drunk for that. The next Thursday I got a mole removed from my back, which didn't get in the way of anything, didn't bleed or wasn't sore, a little itchy from time to time, but nothing unexpected. The next weekend there was possibly going to be some aurora up the North Coast so went up there with Jamie to try and see that, turned out a bit of a flop but just the slightest of auroras on the camera and the experience was good. Also went to Pirate golf that weekend for my nephews birthday which was fun even though I could barely hit the ball properly with my hands (that's my excuse anyway), but I did get a hole in one in the important last hole. The weekend following that was Culture Night in Belfast and bumped into lots and lots of people, from work, Uni, out and about and even met up with a lovely bunch from twitter and then caught up with some of the normal going out group.
Crawfordsburn
After that I was suffering for about three or four days, could hardly walk or do anything and then on the Tuesday I got my stitches removed from my back. This week has been fairly quiet though, the odd walk but that's been in and even at the weekend didn't bother doing anything although I did have a sore head on Saturday so decided to stay in, rather than make it even worse the next day. Plus I had to get through Stargate Universe Series 1&2 before it was removed from Prime, and today Infinity.
Sunspots
I ordered a new phone last Wednesday and was waiting for a "dispatched" email before ordering the new sim from Virgin, but the phone just arrived on Saturday, so I got it all set up and sorted the way I want it and ended up just cutting the sim I have to fit it. Think it's supposed to be £7 or something to get the new sim sent out to you, more than my monthly phone bill!! Went for the Sony Ericson Z3 Compact £350 from Clove, basically the same size as my last phone which was a draw to it and just heard very good things about it, the battery is incredibly impressive as it is currently sitting on 69% after 1 day and 9 hours, although admittedly I haven't been using it loads, but as much as I would normally, come tomorrow when I am at hospital for the scan, unless I'm sleeping I'll be using it a fair bit and see how much it drops then. But I'm impressed with the whole thing so far.
Until next time.
